Edmond Community Thanksgiving Dinner

  • New Covenant 2700 South Boulevard Edmond, OK, 73013 United States (map)

The Edmond Community Thanksgiving Committee met recently and decided that the only safe way to have the dinner this year is to have a “drive thru.” Only 700 meals will be prepared on a first come, first served basis (no home delivery and no reservations). The hours are 11:00 am – 1:00 pm. The drive thru will be on the east side of the George Nigh Center at UCO. The dinner will consist of turkey, stuffing, a vegetable, sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, gravy, and pecan or pumpkin pie.

How can you contribute?

The committee decided to purchase all necessary food and “take out containers.” No need for you to go shopping! The cost of using UCO facilities, insurance, food, rent of refrigerator truck, etc. continues with this “drive thru” meal. The committee requests cash or check donations (all donations are tax deductible as the Edmond Community Thanksgiving Dinner is a 501c organization). Please make checks out to Edmond Community Thanksgiving Dinner and drop the check into the offering plate or mail it to JoAnn Simpson-Miller, 1733 Del Simmons Dr, Edmond, OK 73003.

Are you able to help with carving turkeys?

Turkeys will be cooked at New Covenant on Monday, November 22nd. New Covenant is also in charge of preparing all necessary stuffing.  We will make the stuffing on Tuesday AM November 23rd in the church kitchen. Please contact JoAnn at: joannsm113@gmail.com  or phone 405-824-5184 if you are willing to volunteer at church.
