Chili Cook Off

Our New Cov favorite, the annual Chili Cook-Off, is coming up on Sunday, February 2, starting at 5:00 pm. It's always a great event in which we come together as a church family and have a friendly competition to determine the “Best Chili Makers” in our church.

If you aren't competing, make sure to bring some money to vote on your favorite chili. This year's donations will all go to our mission and missionaries at Casa Aleluya in Guatemala! Also, people with last names that begin with A-L bring fixin's (Fixins=crackers, cheese, Fritos, cornbread, onions, etc.) and M-Z bring desserts.

If you have any interest in being part of an 8-day trip to serve at the Casa Aleluya children’s home in Guatemala this summer, you can join us for a short interest meeting on Sunday, January 19th at 12:15pm in the Hospitality Room.

Our trip is geared primarily toward relationships and experiences for the kids at the children's home, Casa Aleluya. Spanish is helpful, but not necessary! From crafts and movie nights to VBS and bible lessons, we hope to give them special experiences that are hard to come by living in a children's home. Occasionally, there are "work" projects on campus, but we mostly plan fun activities to share God's love and care for them.

The trip will be in late June. Must be at least eighteen-years-old or travel with a parent.
