Shiloh Camp

Shiloh is about transforming our inner city with the love of Christ through sports, arts, and meaningful relationships. It is 40 acres of wooded hills, open fields, streams, and a small pond right in the heart of Oklahoma City. Shiloh is known as a “place of peace”. Far too many in our inner-city communities’ lack peace amid turmoil, hurt, anger and disappointment in their daily lives. Shiloh provides sports, arts, adventure, Bible study, worship and love in an unforgettable five-day experience. Their goal is to teach, train and model Christ’s love to urban youth in a culturally relevant environment that will serve as a model of excellence for Oklahoma City. Shiloh plants seeds of hope for a brighter tomorrow.

Recognizing the importance of remaining connected to the summer campers throughout the year, Shiloh hosts Family Retreats for campers and their parents or those in a parenting role. Shiloh provides a safe environment to help parents turn their hearts to their children and children to turn their hearts to their parents while engaging in conversation, activities, and fun together as a family. Similarly, campers and their families are invited to a variety of fun events in the fall, Christmas, and spring.

In the past few years, Shiloh has expanded beyond the camping programs by piloting and developing the “ASCEND Leadership Program” for teens between the ages of 14-18 with at least one year left in high school. ASCEND is designed to inspire, equip, and launch young leaders by teaching them servant leadership skills and principles. It is a yearlong program composed of a kick-off retreat, monthly meetings, mentors, personal assignments, and service projects.

Volunteers of all levels of skill and interests are needed to maintain and prepare the grounds/buildings for camp, perform needed repairs and construction, provide lunches for the campers, donate snacks, provide and serve Friday night dinner to the campers and their families, donate supplies for camp, sponsor campers, provide meals for ASCEND meetings, donate books, and more.
