Hospitality Volunteers

Our goal this year is to help 100 new people connected into Family Groups where you can be known, cared for, and grow deeper in your relationship with Christ. This month our strategy to help reach that goal is by boosting up our Hospitality Volunteer Base. Hospitality is our first line when helping new people feel welcomed and loved in our church. We are asking for 50 new volunteers to help grow that team. We have a special need for ushers during the 11am Modern Service! Ruby will be outside at the Next Steps table ready to answer questions and ready for you to say Yes! You can also let her know you want to volunteer by sending her an email at rgabelmann@newcov.tv.

45 Ministry

NC Kids and NC Students are coming together to start a new Sunday Morning program for 4th and 5th graders called NC45. During the 11:00 worship hour, 4th and 5th grade students will gather in the kids area in their normal room and then as a group move to the Commons, our Student Center, for teaching, worship, and small group time. Led by our Middle School Pastor, Cody Blair, and and incredible team of volunteers, this time is uniquely designed to help kids in these grades grow deeper in their faith. If you have a 4th or 5th grader in your life, we hope you help them be part of this great new program.

Women’s Summer Bible Study

June 3, 10, 17 & July 1, 8, 15

We all yearn to be truly known and deeply loved. While we can find profound connections with others, there remains a space in our hearts reserved for the perfect love of Christ. But what does that perfect love truly entail? How can we foster intimacy with a God we cannot see? What if we struggle with feelings of Unworthiness? How can we respond when our faith is tested and our sense of security in Christ is shaken?

Beginning June 3, we will spend six sessions with author Lisa Harper, who uses the Song of Solomon to dig into those questions and more. Though romance and marital love are typically associated with this book, Lisa takes a Christ-centered approach to illustrate how this ancient love story is relevant to our life and relationship with Jesus today. As she brings clarity to the text and as we watch real-life stories from other women, we will learn how to embrace God's perfect love and realize our own beauty and worth in God's eyes.

We will meet in the Fireside Room from 9:30-11:00 am. Bring your Bible. The study materials will be provided.
